Poem 22

Since I think I know what I mean.

Category: Poems

Keep the wind beneath my wings;
Don't let me fall-
Let me have the comfort that it brings-
My gosh, it's all

A part of your love for me.
Dance with death for much too long
You've been stung, not by the bee
but a pain much, so much more strong.

Hold out your arms and
let me see them.
So much beauty in a package, with a band
to hold it all in, that Powerful Gem

You call your soul.
Don't let it fall into that deep well
a dark hole
above all, don't sell

yourself short.
Change your mind, now,
Don't let this pain abort
your life. you're not some cow

to use for simple things.
No, a radiant star, its taken toll
is in broken wings
and an imperfect soul.
