Why a "personal wiki"?
I read through Shii's description of the concept and was enthralled. All writing is a work-in-progress; the few times I've started to try and keep a blog, I always put off posting because "it wasn't ready yet," but as soon as it's posted, you're stuck with it. With this setup, I can start publishing ideas right away, and work on everything at once. I like that.
I see a few problems with this setup; it's not always easy to let a visitor know what's new, RSS feeds are impractical, and MediaWiki might be a little overkill for the scales involved. But the speed that I can take an idea and make a page out of it (without having to bother with html/php/etc) is liberating.
