Anarchism is the idea that people can get by just fine without a government telling them what to do, or protecting them. It it, admittedly, rather utopian in its outlook. I am an anarchist. I waffle back and forth between anarcho-capitalism and anarcho-socialism, mostly because I don't care so much about how people choose to relate to other people as much as the "do it in the absence of coercion" part.
Federalism between dozens or hundreds of committees might be the most workable form of the idea.
