Holiday Crumbs
There's something about Christmas cookies that only really "clicks" during this season. Sure, you can make sugar cookies any other time of the year - but they're not as tasty. I helped mom make some today. They were "spritz" cookies - they require a special press to make (it looks kinda like a cross between a paper punch and a gun). We experimented with her recipe and came up with some tasty cookies, in my opinion.

Work's been very busy. People keep coming in, looking for books that they only remember part of the title of, or the wrong title; and then they get pouty when we can't read their minds and tell them if we have it or not. We don't have an unlimited stockroom, you know. I've had three people looking for self-published books (one from cafepress.com!) Barnes and Noble's not Amazon, folks.

More gift shopping! I like getting people things they don't expect. It's boring to get everything you want all the time.
The Hanukkah Blizzard of '06! Good thing I did my shopping last night. Unfortunately, I am going to have to work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It's going to be a mess, because all the procrastinators who were thinking about going today or tomorrow are getting shifted to the weekend!
